Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado

Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado, was born on the 12th day of December 1965. He hails from Rimi Local Government Area of Katsina State. He attended Sararin Kuka Primary School, Katsina from 1974 to 1979, where he obtained Primary School Leaving Certificate. Thereafter he gained admission into the Government Day Secondary School, Kofar Yandaka, Katsina, where he obtained General Certificate of Education G. C. E. in 1994.

He proceeded to the then University of Sokoto now Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto for a one year Pre-Degree programme. At the end of the Pre-Degree programme he got admission into the Faculty of Law of the University to study Law. In 1990 he graduated with Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.). Thereafter he gained admission into the Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos for a one year mandatory professional course to qualify him as a Lawyer.

Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado was called to the Nigerian Bar and enrolled as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1991. He did his mandatory National Youth Service with the defunct Savannah Bank of Nigeria, Wuse Branch in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. In year 2007, Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado, obtained Master of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in Kaduna State.

Immediately After completion of National Youth Service, Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado, joined the services of the Federal Ministry of Justice as a Legal Officer 11. During the period, he served at the Federal Ministry of Justice he rose to the rank of Assistant Chief Legal Officer. While at the Federal Ministry of Justice Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado, served at various times as Assistant Legal Adviser in Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Federal Ministry of Power and Steel and Federal Ministry of Environment.

In year 2001, Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado, was posted to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, (ICPC) as one of the pioneer Prosecutors of the Commission. Due to his dint of hard work, a part from his prosecutorial duties, he was appointed as the Head of Fast Track Investigation Team under the office of the Chairman of the Commission.

In year 2006, Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado, got appointment with the National Industrial Court of Nigeria as an Assistant Chief Registrar and later became Deputy Chief Registrar. Upon his appointment with the National Industrial Court of Nigeria in 2006, he was posted to head Enugu Judicial Division of the Court. In year 2010, he was posted to head Lagos Judicial Division of the Court from where he was appointed as one of the Judges of the Court.

Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado is a profile of excellence, brilliance, humility, patriotism, honesty, hard work, resilience, loyalty and doggedness.

Hon. Justice Sanusi Kado, has attended several trainings both within Nigeria and abroad. He is a widely travelled professional with cosmopolitan outlook. Some of the countries visited by him include Australia, Britain, Italy, Ghana, Niger, Saudi Arabia and the United States of America. He is happily married and blessed with children
