In Bauchi, Abba Shehu Bags Industrial Court Best Staff of the year

Friday 20th December 2019 memory would go a long way in the minds of the staff of the National Industrial Court, Bauchi Judicial division as they gathered to give glory to God for His grace throughout the year.


It was also a moment to reward competency, astuteness, and sacrifice of one of their own, Baba Abba Shehu who bagged the best staff of the year 2019.


As they say that a golden fish has no hidden place, his confirmation as the best staff of the year does not come to many staff as a surprise, in fact, they described it as an honour well deserved in line with his dedication and sacrifice to duty.


Baba Abba Shehu hails from Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, Borno State, North-East Nigeria. He joined the service of National Industrial Court of Nigeria on the 31st August 2017 as an Assistant Executive Officer.


The divisional registrar, Mr. Ibrahim Tsadu Esq while presenting the award expressed exceptional appreciation to the Hon. President, Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip for bringing smile to the faces of the staff and unflinching contributions to the growth of Labour Jurisprudence in Nigeria.


“My Lord, you have given us every reason to be proud of being a staff of the National Industrial Court. Today, we are the true hope of judiciary in Bauchi State simply because people of the state and its environs can be boastful of Justice when approaching the Court. 


“As far as Judiciary is concern, our Court is the most efficient and digitalized court in Africa and this is acquainted with your vision to take the court to an enviable height.


“My Lord, the smile you are putting to the face of the staff cannot be over-emphasized, It was indeed, a new dawn for us and we pray Almighty Allah to continue to guide your Lordship and preserve your Lordship for the existence.” Mr. Ibrahim Said.


He also poured encomiums on all the Judges for their sacrifice in upholding the temple of Justice, prayed for more wisdom. 


Mr. Ibrahim also used the occasion to show total appreciation for all the staff, thanking them for demonstrating selflessness and sacrifice to duties. He declared that no victor no vanquished that the result that produced Baba Abba is a victory for all, charged others to emulate him.


Abba in his remark dedicated the award to all staff. “I am not better than you, I was just privileged and I have promised myself that I won’t give any excuse for any assignment bestows on me. You are all the best.” Abba Pleaded.
