Aliyu, Joy, Toyosi, others make list of new commissioners for Oath

The Presiding Judge of Yola, Benin, Enugu, Owerri and Akure Judicial divisions, their Lordships, Hon. Justice Sanusi kado, Hon. Justice Adunola Adewemimo, Hon. Justice Oluwakayode Arowosegbe, Hon. Justice Ibrahim Galadima and Hon. Justice Kiyersohot Damulak have respectively sworn in Adamu Mohammed of yola, Nsing Ebonom Esq and Eghosa Aaron Asemota Esq of Benin; Aliyu Mohammed Imam and Rita Nwafot of Enugu, Joy Iwuchukwu Esq of Owerri, Obanigba Grace; Ayehinbelehin Michael and Toyosi Adeyemo of Akure as commissioners for oath.


The swearing-in of new commissioners was sequel to the directive of the Hon. President of the Court, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Benedict Kanyip, PhD, FNIALS, FCArb to align the court with the best judicial global practices.


Quintessentially, Commissioner for Oaths administers the taking of an oath or affirmation by a person in relation to his/her affidavit, statutory declaration or other legal documents. 


The appointees were charged to always remember their oath of office and to perform the mandates bestowed on them in accordance with the rule of law.
