[Just In] Industrial Court orders NBET to pay Sambo Abdulahi Salaries, Emoluments from 2017 till date within 30 days

2195 Tuesday 30th November -0001

His Lordship, Hon. Justice O. O. Oyewumi of the National Industrial Court, Abuja Judicial Division has ordered the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) to pay Mr. Sambo Abdullahi all his salaries and emoluments from December 2017, till date within 30 days.

The Court further held that suspension of Mr Abdullahi from office in 2017 was wrongful.

The Claimant-Mr Abdullahi approached the industrial court after his salaries were stopped by the electricity company on controversial grounds.

The Court further added that the failure of NBET to pay Mr Abdullahi’s accrued salary and other emoluments within 30 days would attract 21 per cent of the accrued salary and other emoluments per annum.
